NSW public school information

We are proud to be part of a connected and inclusive school system. Our school is one of more than 2,200 NSW public schools. This network supports all students through consistent policies, shared resources and shared values, and high teaching standards.

Visit the NSW Department of Education to learn how NSW public schools work together to give every student a strong start in life.

Information from the department

This space includes updates and messages from the NSW Department of Education. It brings together content that applies to families of all NSW public schools.

Understanding school policies

Want to know how things like behaviour, attendance or mobile phone use are handled in NSW public schools?

We follow clear, consistent policies set by the NSW Department of Education.

School policies help families understand what to expect. They show how we create a safe, fair and supportive environment for every student.

School fees and contributions

NSW public schools do not charge mandatory fees.

Voluntary school contribution

All NSW public schools can ask parents and carers to make contributions. These payments help support learning programs at school. They are voluntary, and each family can choose whether to pay.

Elective subject contribution

NSW public schools may also ask for contributions for elective subjects that go beyond the basic curriculum. If families cannot pay because of financial hardship, they may be eligible for assistance from the school.
