Student Awards

Gold Award

Students require a combination of 10 of any of the below awards to receive a Gold Award.

These inlcude: Academic Merit Card, PBL Merit Card, Reach for the Stars Merit Card, Citizenship Award.

Students hand their 10 awards to the Principal.

Gold Awards will be handed out at an assembly.

Students receiving a Gold Award will be acknowledged on the Lavington Public School facebook page and the newsletter.

At the end of Terms 2 and 4 those students receiving Gold Awards will be invited with their parents to share morning tea with the staff and principal to celebrate their success.

Class Merit Award

Each student has a Lavi Leopards chart which has 4 levels on it. Each level has 39 dots.

Students who are demonstrating SAFETY, RESPECT and/or RESPONSIBILITY are rewarded by initialling, ticking, stamping or placing a sticker on the next dot or star on their chart.

When students complete a level they receive a Reach for the Stars merit card which is printed on the back of their chart. These will be given out in class.

Class Merit Awards contribute towards receiving a Gold Award.

Merit Cards

There are two types of Class Merit Cards. Green and white for academic achievement and coloured for PBL (acknowledging safety, respect and/or responsibility in the classroom).

These awards will be handed out at K-2 and 3-6 assemblies.

Citizenship Award

Students receive this award for displaying good citizenship

whilst representing the school – e.g. marching with the school at ANZAC Day, public choir performances, etc.

This award will be given out at K-2 and 3-6 assemblies.

Playground Reward System - Star Cards

Students receive these for safe, respectful and responsible behaviour in the playground.

The duty teacher giving out the card will initial it, write the student’s name on the back of the card and the reason for receiving it.

The student puts the Star Card in the box provided.

Students work collaboratively towards a common goal. We will celebrate their success at the end of terms 2 and 4.
